Gluten free is hard to be....especially when pregnant

I am probably pregnant because I recently went gluten free (besides obvious scientific proof on getting pregnant). We really aren't ready for a baby and this pregnancy was not planned in the least and since I have been pregnant I have learned it is much harder to be gluten free. But I have to for the babies sake. The cravings are hard and the no desire to eat certain foods is difficult as well. All I crave is a peanut butter and jelly on white bread, but the thought of the texture of my gluten free bread sends me rushing to a bucket. Smells, textures, and tastes have been the hardest part of this so far 3 month pregnant journey. All I eat is fruit, all day long, while I crave French Crullers with pink frosting. The memories of the comfort food I used to eat when I felt disgusting and unmotivated are simply that. Memories.

that stinks! how are you feeling now?

we haven't been too good with the gluten-free eating around here. it's hard! my heart goes out to you. do you have a whole foods or trader joe's near you? we found some yummy gluten-free cookies and they have a whole section of other items. i'm sure you already know that.

i plan to get serious with the gluten-free (i'm actually looking to go raw) so i will send yummy recipes your way!

speaking of comfort food, i made gluten-free mac and cheese that was delish! we like quinoa pasta best.

Kelli Ann you are an angel! Thanks so much for your support! We have Whole Foods and Trader Joes, I just wish I could get the baked goods to be a bit softer. Everything is so hard when you bite into it. I invested in some GF corn pasta and plan on making a mac & cheese with that. Hopefully is tastes better than brown rice pasta. When your pregnant, your taste buds change completely.
