A Gluten Free Halloween!!!



Here is the menu:

Beverage - Blood of the Innocent
Side dish - Zombie Guts
Main Dish - Worms, Slugs, and Slime

Blood of the Innocent

1 QT Orange, banana, pineapple juice (make your own or buy Dole)
2 Cups Sparkling Mineral Water lime flavored
A few drops of red food coloring
1 drop of blue food coloring

Mix well. Serve cold.


Zombie Guts

3 Large potatoes
1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 Cup milk
dash of salt and pepper
dash of garlic powder
red, blue, and green food coloring

Boil potatoes for 1 hour or until soft in the center when poked with a fork. Drain. Return to pot. Add milk, shredded cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, red, green, and blue food coloring. Mix half heartedly. Serve lumpy with uneven color. Serve immediately.


Worms, Slugs, & Slime

1/2 pkg Gluten free spaghetti noodles
2 Gluten free Italian sausages, cut in half then length wise
Gluten free Alfredo sauce
green food coloring

Boil noodles by instructions on package. Fry the quartered sausages in a pan until browned. Warm Alfredo sauce in a small pot with a couple drops of green food coloring.
When noodles are done, drain and add to your serving platter. Place sausages on top, then pour on the green Alfredo sauce. Serve immediately.


 I wanted my Alfredo sauce to be more slimier. Maybe I will add pureed spinach for better color and texture.
